I am overwhelmed with excitement. I received a letter from the Texas State Fair that the polymer clay masked face I entered received a third place ribbon. I have never entered anything in the fair before and didn't know quite what to expect. You should have seen me when I read that I was a winner. I actually think I was walking on air.
I have loved masked faces ever since I traveled to Venice Italy and saw them in the little shops that abound along the waterway. It is quite amazing that by covering part of your face, you suddenly become very mysterious.
I began my creative journey with polymer clay in May of 2010. I find it to be a wonderful medium to work with. I love taking a lump of clay and turning it into something whimsical and fun. My daughter, Trina, of
Trina's Clay Creations has been creating wonderful figurines and cake toppers for many years. If it weren't for her, I would not have even tried working with the clay. Needless to say, she is my inspiration.
